Big Sky Sanctuary is a registered nonprofit 501(c)3, tax exempt organization. EIN 93-4118084.
It sits on 50 acres in the Arizona desert, 22 miles down a dirt (sand) road. We are completely off-grid, with the closest utilities about 20 miles away. Power is 100% solar with a well for water. We currently have chickens, cows, dogs, cats, quail, ravens, and a horse.
We also help our the local free-range rancher (permission granted) by providing water troughs for the local free-range cattle. We can do this because we have a well and feel it’s the right thing to do. As a note, it is illegal to feed or water free-range livestock without the permission of the local rancher.
